PR is important when you sell links on your site: the higher your PR, the more $$$ you get.
Now Google doesn’t like this (read their policies) and will lower PR when they “think” you sell links.
Sylvie hits the button when she says: “That would give everyone a better understanding of this whole ranking system”.
First and foremost advertisers should learn that PR doesn’t tell anything about how many visitors a website has.
Just compare the amount of visitors on FMB blog and DP blog: is DP getting more visitors since his PR is higher than FMB?
Then there are people that don’t want to link to a website with PR less than 4. That means they think a blog like FMB has no value… Which in my opinion is a huuuuuge mistake
